September is also National Arthritis Awareness Month, and in the spirit of the event, CityNews aired a segment on cold laser therapy and how it has helped relieve the pain of arthritis for many people.

We are happy to announce that chiropractor Dr. Melanie Rapoport – also known as DoctorMel – will be providing chiropractic care at the Solaj Wellness Centre starting in July.

Dr. Rapoport is a certified provider of two innovative soft tissue therapies, Active Release Techniques® and Graston Technique®, and is well trained in the area of functional rehabilitation. She is a member of the International Society of Clinical Rehabilitation Specialists as well as the BC Chiropractic Association and the Canadian Chiropractic Association.

Doctor Mel is the author of an informative wellness blog where she gives advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and explains the reasons for her recommendations.

Dr. Rapoport holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioural Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia (2007) and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, where she obtained her Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2010.
